Artist Statement
Painting is a space for obsessive mark-making where compulsive energy and random assertion are played out. I pull out images from the interiority of my mind to paint with a sense of intuitive immediacy, indifference and distance. I treat the image as a template to fill colors in, while attempting to dump out its content.
Colors annihilate
Occupy: form and content
Paint a head, a flower, a mountain, text.
Paint em all on equal terms
Colours wrap around.
